Are Careers In Writing Possible?
You've heard about those seemingly elusive careers in writing. People working at home with no alarm clock, no boss, no morning commute... It sounds too good to be true.
But it's not a dream, it's not a joke, it's not some scam that Internet spammers from Nigeria invented to steal your money. There really are thousands of people who make their living from various careers in writing.
I'm not saying it's easy. In fact, it's probably one of the harder career paths to break into because there's a very clear line that separates the amateurs from the professionals. Unless you're willing to work 12 hour days, you're not going to make a living selling 500 word articles on e-lance for $10 a pop.
Don't get discouraged
There is real money to be made by focusing on one of the profitable careers in writing that don't involve trying to under-bid a thousand people. In fact, once you get started and have a few successful jobs under your belt, you'll be amazed at just how high your fees will go.
I've made it work for me and to tell the truth, I'm nothing special. I've spent a lot of time practicing but the pay off at the end of the road is well worth the investment of time it takes to get there. Even if I wasn't being paid to write, I'd still do it. Writing is more than a job for me, it's a release.
These are just the basics, different directions that you can take to make your dream a reality. If you can digest the information here, you'll be ahead of 90% of the people who share your dream but don't know how to make it happen.
